Training Experiment

Hopefully no one will mind this post as it is more a general place to put my notes on an experiment and some of the surprising finds. The experiment is still in the early stages and my next model is going to explore more. The idea is to build a general model using loss functions that are specific to...

Re: Image sorting tool

Doesn't sort have a multiple face setting,? I've never used it but I'm assuming that is what you're looking for.

Edit: oops. Sorry. I meant the alignment tool.

Re: Is there a guide to the landmarks?

Thanks for setting me straight. 🙂

My logic was based on the mask using a mesh where one pull of the mesh will effect all the other "triangles" within the mesh

Re: My way of creating good training set

You know, you could implement an experimental feature to choose the right amount of poses, just like you have here. Any remaining photos from a batch of faces gets filtered out into a septate folder for review. A slider controls the amount of faces the user needs/wants. The program (with maybe a sen...

Re: Is there a guide to the landmarks?

Actually, I fill my training masks up with about 10-15% of "troubled" faces. These are faces that are blurry, extreme lighting (over/under exposed), partial faces, and extreme shots. If you're using this for general masks (rather than specific to a video, etc.) I think this can help train ...

You know, if one were to come up with an algorithm for automatically choosing training faces... Ahem @torzdf cough cough 😁🤪

Re: Is there a guide to the landmarks?

I also will mention, that one of the more overlooked important landmarks (I know I overlooked it's importance,) is the two inner eye landmarks, represented by numbers 37,38,40,41, and 43,44,46,47. It took me a while to figure out that these landmarks direct the eyes. If you get googley-eyes, or cros...

Re: Is there a guide to the landmarks?

torzdf I know you've read my response before about this, but don't you think the jaw line impacts the placement of the other landmarks? I know the jaw line, when using Bisenet, doesn't effect the mask placement but don't you think it can effect the placement of the eyes or nose, or the mouth by pul...

Re: Is there a guide to the landmarks?

I've asked this a couple years ago, and didn't get a response. My two cents, for what it's worth. Accuracy is important for training, however, I don't think it needs to be perfect, but the more perfect the better. Jaw lines end at the beginning of the chin, then the middle of the chin (chin dimple) ...

Re: Should I remove blurry faces from extracts?

My two cents is, I leave my blurry faces in but I limit them to very few, and I haven't had any overall problems.

Re: Yah new sutff, a vision transformer CLipV

So, would you recommend the 336 for a 512 output?

Though I've thought about it, I ultimately haven't tried these yet because I felt they wouldn't be very good for 512 output.

Re: Training only B side

The short answer is, no.

What you can do, if you use Phaze A, is freeze the B side, and reuse the weights. As you continually re-use the weights in theory it should take less time to train.

The model needs both sides to build properly.

Re: Yah new sutff, a vision transformer CLipV

So what is the difference between cv-l (regular version) and cv-l 448 version? In what instance would I use one over the other?

I ask because I'm about to start a new Max-512 model and would like to try it out but I'm unsure which I should use.

Re: LR optimizer first impressions (yay new stuff)

@Ryzen1988 I've asked for the same, but I found the easiest and quickest way is to do a "system information" check and it'll give you a brief description of what's been changed. If it's significant I go to the GitHub. 🙂

Re: Yah new sutff, a vision transformer CLipV

Ryzen1988 I'm starting to lose my love for LPIPS as well. I'm noticing the farther I go in training the more the moire pattern appears. I recently lowered it to 20 from 25 with my recent model, but on my next model I'm thinking of cutting it out completely until the no warp phase, and then add it i...

Re: Second extraction for realignment?

I've often wished there were a way to do that, or at least be able to automatically realign faces, like a filter folder you can manually place faces/frames into to tell the program to retry these specific frames. Edit: Never mind. 🤦😆 As I was reminded of the obvious from SuperHans on Discord: Delete...

Error when starting training: OSError: Unable to open file (bad object header version number)

Again, I'm not sure if this helps you or not, but after doing another clean install and addressing the anaconda/git commands I'm getting different error/crash report. It will not let me train or extract and gives me a different error report as before. Sorry if this is redundant, I'm just unsure if t...
