Fantastic results from 8 Original Pictures

After taking a few months off, I decided to finish my small Model B training set project. I began with 5 good quality photos showing the front and sides of my model. I also had 3 smaller, low resolution black and white photos. This was my first swap and it has been a learning process (and still is)....

Update or Bug?

Hello, I just installed the latest version of faceswap December 4th. I was working on an extract set and after using the manual tool (and realigning a number of faces) I went to use the mask tool. I ran the mask tool and received a message that no masks had been updated. I ran the mask tool again af...

Re: Best Model to Swap Different Face Shapes?

I will give a swap a try using a smaller A face than B face. Using DFL-SAE on DF setting, this was a major problem for one of my swaps. The bleed through of A is really bad even though the faces were not too far apart. The A head was larger than the B head. The output looked like a head from Easter ...

Re: Is my CPU a bottleneck?

I wanted to follow up with a few other tests that I have done regarding this subject. One person suggested running the monitor using the main board output and integrated graphics instead of the PCI graphics card. I tried this and can report that I gained 30 it/s and 1 eg/s or about 1% total. I can a...

Best Model to Swap Different Face Shapes?

After performing several face swaps and even looking at some examples from the thread "choosing faces that match" it seems that the current models all have a pretty big problem. The models I have seen do a good job swapping the eyes, nose, lips, and cheek bones but the chin, jawline, and d...

Alternative Extraction Workflow

I have tried the extraction method advocated in the "extraction" a workflow guide and while it works for some applications, I found it to be overly cumbersome. I wanted to share my solution. First, I collect all of my sources. For videos, I place my source videos in file folders such as vi...

Re: Possible to Delete Source Pictures / Clean Alignments File?

Thanks for the info. I won't be deleting any source photos (referenced as "frames" for video files) after I extract them in the future. I found this thread in a different search that also answers the question well. https://forum.faceswap.dev/viewtopic.php?p=7225&hilit=missing+frames#p7...

Possible to Delete Source Pictures / Clean Alignments File?

Something that has given me a good amount of grief tracking down the problem is that I don't always want to use "sort" in the extract process and instead want to go straight to the manual tool without outputting faces to a folder first (too much unnecessary writing and deleting will eventu...

Re: Clarificaton on Training options: Mask selection

That answers my question.

I have been training with the Bisenet mask and will continue to do so as it seems to provide the best results after Unet.

Thank you.

Re: Clarificaton on Training options: Mask selection

Thank you for the reply. I have come the realize the benefits of using a NN mask. I am still confused as to how selecting this feature in the training options without selecting 'learn mask' works. How does selecting a specific mask for training affect the end results vs. just applying any mask that ...

Re: Creating a decent faceswap only using 4 images of B data

I tried this technique with blender and liked the results as well. I know that this is not a forum for blender (nor for the add-on package required to run the face model) but the two programs compliment each other and if you know how to use one it makes learning the other easier. With the right add-...

Clarificaton on Training options: Mask selection

I have had a few bugs here and there (the delete button on the keyboard does work now in the manual tool where it would not work at first for example) and I realized that due to one of these glitches I don't fully understand the mask option in the training settings. First, the guides say to always e...

Faces for Training Question

I would like to know if there is any way to view the masks and landmarks for the combined "faces used for training." These images are usually pulled from multiple alignments files and combined into one folder for training. Although there is no alignments file associated with the faces duri...

It seems that adding and removing faces from the "faces for training" files during the training process works to some extent.

Re: Delete/copy/paste/many - face alignments

A couple more things to note for anyone following this thread. It is important to realize that every time the alignments file is updated, it is saved to the originally named alignments.fsw file. The backup file is the numbered file (I believe it states in the extract guide that it is named backup bu...

Re: Delete/copy/paste/many - face alignments

I am not sure if this needs a new post or not, but since we are discussing problems with the manual tool, I thought it would be relevant to bring up a topic that was a problem for me and I found at the same time as this thread. Once you move on from the included basic masks (I like the results from ...

Re: Delete/copy/paste/many - face alignments

I would like to say that there is something I was missing. I went back and reread the extract guide regarding automatic sorting by face. I did this at first, but I guess I got lucky and most of the extracted faces were done properly on simple videos. With very little bad data to delete, I began skip...

Re: Delete/copy/paste/many - face alignments

I second a way to delete or change many files in the manual tool with one movement. I understand that automating a process that usually requires a human is complex and probably time consuming e.g. for multiple people / incorrect multiple faces in a scene. However, just having the delete button and a...

Re: Mixed Precision Questions

Thank you for the reply. That answers my questions.

I will stick with full precision as long as I can train in the 10-16 batch size and try mixed precision once I get into single digit batch sizes.

Mixed Precision Questions

I have read that mixed precision will free some VRAM so I can run a larger batch size. I have also read that it can cause errors. I have read varying information on its usefulness depending upon the graphics card used. I have also read some conflicting information on if it can be enabled / disabled ...
