Array Memory Error
I'm getting a consistent error when training. The training model is Phaze-A/DNY-512 with a batch size of 2, running on mirrored RTX3090's and 64GB of system RAM. I no longer have a second rig to see if it's unit specific. The error in the crash report is "numpy.core. exceptions. ArrayMemoryErro...

Re: Hardware Settings
Received and installed the nVlink between the 3090's. Oddly after a baffling array of inputs, prices, etc. I just had to walk down to best buy and grab an nVidia branded item off the shelf for $80US. It works. My speeds aren't double, but they're close. It's hard to measure but even things like extr...

Re: Hardware Settings
Yes, the batch size of 20 maxes out the VRAM. Really, I only invested in the dual GPU's for the purpose of running the larger batches. I'm wondering if I'd have been better off to invest in a single workstation card. Sigh. I was able to change some settings in the nVidia control panel that improved ...

Hardware Settings
I finally invested the time in putting together a workstation to train models. I'm struggling to get the hardware to perform though. Understanding it's a totally new install, so I suspect I'm missing something. I'll include the details below. My model has 12k and 14k extracted faces, and I'm running...

Phaze-A versus legacy models
It occurred to me today that I'm training using Dfl-128 (the "native" model) which has virtually no settings. But should I be using Phaze-A with the "model_phaze_a_dfl-h128_preset" instead? I don't know if the two are genuinely equivalent, if the latter is approximating the forme...

Re: A simple question comparing GPU's
Well, I gave in and bought a used workstation with two 3090's. The good news is I'll be able to heat my basement with it. The bad news is it leaves me with several mid-level GPU's with no computer to run them in. Maybe I'll donate them to other users here on the forums.

Re: A simple question comparing GPU's
I know it's wrong, but it kinda does make me feel better. ;) I have another dumb question while I'm on a roll. Can I mix GPU versions? I have two spare cards. Though I don't expect a "performance boost" being able to pool the VRAM would be nice for running larger models. And I've never des...

Advice on settings for Hi Res Results
I'd like advice on the best configuration for high resolution face swaps. I'll have roughly 15K images of each face extracted at 1024 from hi-res photos. I did prep some of the photos using GFP-GAN. I assume Phaze-A, but which training preset to start with and what settings to toy with. The end resu...

Re: A simple question comparing GPU's
Well, I actually did blow up my computer installing two GPU's. But it wasn't the power load, it was the fact I'm a clumsy oaf. New PSU installed and mystery also solved. I had 'hardware accelerated GPU Scheduling" disabled. When enabled windows reports the "3D" setting for the GPU. I ...

Re: A simple question comparing GPU's
There are two totally separate computers. It's working, so it's just curiosity on my part. But since I'm pondering dropping some coin on a computer specifically for training I'm very curious about the hardware aspects. That said I didn't realize if I put two cards in one computer nVidia would pool t...

A simple question comparing GPU's
I have two rigs running the same model with only slightly different settings. Both are i9 CPUs, exact same MB's, etc. The only difference is one has an RTX 3080 10GB and one has an RTX 3060 12GB. Both units shows GPU VRAM utilized to about 80% roughly. The unit with the 3080 shows little CPU usage b...

Re: [Guide] Introducing - Phaze-A
I'm trying to tweak models for the highest possible resolution result. But given it takes me a week to run a model, it's a painful process. There are just too darned many options, and tweaking a setting, testing, then tweaking again is exhausting. But it sounds like you may have done the heavy lifti...

Your branch has diverged...
It may not be a real issue but when I check for updates from within the FS GUI I get the following message. "Your branch has diverged from the remote repo. Not updating." The version I have is running just fine, so it's not as though this is critical. I'm just curious if I'm missing lot's ...

Re: No Keyboard Shortcuts
Here's an example of the post(s) I'm referring to: https://forum.faceswap.dev/viewtopic.php?t=427 He states there's a dedicated window with keyboard shortcuts. But I think you've answered my question anyway. I was hoping for a way to delete multiple alignments quickly when manually checking them. Wh...

No Keyboard Shortcuts
I just read a post that mentioned the use of keyboard shortcuts in the manual alignments tool. When I run the tool only one window opens, the GUI to edit the alignments. I can't seem to find any settings where this other window would be enabled/disabled. And using the keyboard over the mouse to dele...

Re: Avoiding NaN Errors
Thanks for the feedback gents. The bridge example is excellent. Well played sir. I guess my hopes that one of you can just hand-edit my model to remove flaws isn't going to happen? :) Truth is if I leave settings at their default, in most cases I can run to >2M iterations with one or less NaN's. May...

Re: Avoiding NaN Errors
More questions on NaN avoidance... I have a training set that I've rolled back and the NaN repeated. I'm used to it now, but want to better nuance how I recover. I can literally use the preview tool and see where the NaN begins to occur, evidencing pixilation around the eyes which I'm assuming is an...

Impact of misaligned images
So, I'm 1.5M iterations into a training session and I'm not getting the quality I would expect. Good enough, I check the usual culprit of input quality. I found that I somehow missed two totally misaligned images in a batch of 1,300. I've updated the alignments and removed those PNG's from the train...

Re: R3080 vs. Tesla K80
Truth is I'm a bit of a hardware junky. And since I own a couple of IT shops and have access to toys... well, you get it. Anything to speed the process so I can "learn the trade" faster is attractive. I think I may have IT in Irvine ship me a used workstation (intel 11th gen or some such) ...

R3080 vs. Tesla K80
So while commiserating with my IT guys that I'll probably die of old age before the results of my Villain training are ready I was unexpectedly offered an alternative to my GPU. I'm currently using an RTX 3080 with 12G. Our IT guy says he can send me a lightly used "Tesla K80 2 x Kepler" c...
