Re: Old extracted faces with alignments.

Ok, yeah. That kinda makes sense..... The alignments file has been upgraded from some other task.... If you have the original source material to go with the alignments file, then the absolute easiest thing to do would just be to use the alignments tool to re-extract the faces from the source materia...

Re: Old extracted faces with alignments.

I try to maintain backwards compatibility but cannot guarantee that it will always work as the progress of time marches on...

IIRC if you run the "rename-faces" job in the alignments tool it should update the faces.

Re: Error Logged While Extracting - 32bit limitation?

I have updated the calculation which is causing you issues to 64bit. Hopefully that will remedy this error

Re: Quick question about training the same model at different resolutions

Short answer is 'no'. You would not get the same results even if running the same model again with the same data at the same resolution. The random element of ML ensures that results are non-deterministic.

Increasing spatial dimensions also means the model will behave somewhat differently.

Re: No preview shows but Preview is clicked on

I assume (due to VRAM limitations) you are having to run multiple passes to do extraction (the number of passes should be displayed in the status bar).

Unfortunately there will be no preview until the final pass, as the images are not generated until then.

These are all good ideas. The main challenge (for me) is finding the time to research and implement these kind of things

Re: Where does the eye direction get stored for the training/conversion?

To expand on this, whilst alignments are extremely important, they are actually only used for 3 reasons. 1) To be able to generate masks landmark based masks (uses all 68 points) 2) To align faces for training (uses the core central face landmarks. i.e. all landmarks except for the jawline) 3) To te...

Re: Does it matter if A faces are more than B Faces

I don't know what the ""halo", double face effect" is. However, in wider terms, there is no benefit to loading up one side more than the other. There shouldn't be any obvious detrimental effect if they are not matched in volume, as long as the data is similarly distributed in ter...

Re: Align upside down faces with fan in manual mode?

Unfortunately not, no. That said, I've not really seen a specific problem with upside down faces. Have you tried amending the 'normalization' method? This often helps with tricky faces (I usually find clahe or hist work best)

Re: Simple idea for improving mask erosion

The erosion settings are applied to the "aligned" face. IE top will always be the top of the face (even if the face is really upside down in the actual frame)

Re: Cannot create alignments file, "libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.30' not found"

Ugggh, this is why relying on Conda-Forge annoys me.

I will look at a longer term fix for this. In the meantime you should be able to get around the issue with:

Start > Anaconda Prompt (cmd)

Code: Select all

conda activate faceswap
conda install -c conda-forge gcc=12.1.0

Re: Manual Tool Reads Originals as Faces

I'm not sure how to identify the actual image. However, the manual tool detects extracted faces (iirc) by reading the PNG header. If the PNG header doesn't contain faceswap information, it will load, if it does, then it will fail. It doesn't check all the images (would take too long), I think it jus...

Re: Just a little clarification on Glasses

Not sure I entirely understand.

If you choose to exclude glasses from the face (the default iirc) then glasses will be masked out on both the A and B side.

Re: Simple idea for improving mask erosion

Sure, I may look at this in the future. The main problem with "directional erosion" is that it may work for certain angles, but then doesn't work for other angles (e.g. eroding from the left will have a different impact if the face is looking forward to if the face is looking to the left)....

Re: Error Logged While Extracting - 32bit limitation?

Ah, ok. The res may well be why. I will artificially upscale some videos for testing. I doubt that this would have caused any issues with output, but I can't guarantee it. I will look at what returns from numpy when this warning is hit. However, as it is just a test on whether the face is bigger tha...

Re: Error Logged While Extracting - 32bit limitation?

Ok, that's annoying. This is part of the new filters, of which I have run literally hundreds of thousands of frames through now and not hit this issue :/ If there is anyway you can provide me a source file + config which reproduces this I would be able to look for a fix. In the meantime you can disa...
