Re: [Guide] A Rough Guide to Converting

Hello, it may sound as a very nooby question, but i'm a total beginner about AI and couldn't find an exhaustive answer else around: What's the role of the "A source" when training? I thought training was specific for the given source, but here i read: " There is one other thing that ...

Re: Converting Problem

You are probably using an incorrect alignments file for the video that you are converting. Double check that the alignments file corresponds to the video that you are trying to convert

Re: HOW DO I TRAIN A MODEL SO DATASET A CAN BE USED ON MULTIPLE RANDOM SCENES(LET ME EXPLAIN)

You can try doing this with faceswap, but I'm not sure if it will work (or if it does, whether it would work well). Faceswap is built to swap too distinct identities. If the faces you want to swap out don't change too much you may be able to get away with it. I haven't tried using the software for t...

The 3060 (the one with more VRAM) It will be slower, but you will be able to run larger models.

Any of those CPUs will be fine, to the point that they will probably make no noticeable difference.

Re: New to Faceswap – Looking for Tips and Advice on Getting Started

What’s the best way to choose source and target images for the best results? High bitrate videos are the best source for training data. Avoid HDR footage How do I set up the training process efficiently without overloading my system? I’m working with a mid-range GPU, so I want to make sure I optimi...

I'm not sure you will have much success with a 7 year old Mac, I'm afraid.

A notice about Patreon and PayPal

Dear Faceswappers If you are a supporter, either through Patreon or PayPal, firstly let me give you my sincere thanks for the support over the years. Over the last few days my PayPal account has been frozen and my Patreon account has been shutdown. This was entirely without discussion or corresponde...

Face detection and alignment is entirely handled by the process.

Read the linked guides in the relevant forum sections, as they cover all of this.

You are using an old version of Python which means that you have probably not activated your Faceswap environment

Re: Villian Training always reaches a point where the output just becomes white face

I do not.

At this point, it may be a hardware or data related issue.

Make sure that any overclocks (including stock overclocks) are disabled on your GPU.

Beyond that, I could not say, sorry.

Re: Feature request: Training set images in subdirectories

This isn't done to protect the end user. It is a support headache to allow this, as if a user (for example) points the training folder at the root of their hard disk, the process will walk the entire hard disk looking for any and every .png file it can find. For this reason, this is unlikely to ever...

Re: Shake of a half-visible face

For going out of frame faces, I find a couple of things work ok for me: The alignments are manually fixed. These don't need to be perfect. I tend to just copy from the last frame, then in Extract Box mode (green box), I move the box until the visible landmarks lineup close enough Some of these 'goin...

Re: convert problem

This is just a GUI issue, not showing the preview about it.

Specifically there is a permission issue on your machine accessing the preview file.

Don't worry about it. Whilst you can't see the preview, it won't impact the ability to convert.

@ianstephens Thanks for testing. Unfortunately I have been very busy of late, so not much time for development.

I have made a note of your feedback and will investigate as soon as I get an opportunity.
