What's a reasonable speed? Also, error message

I'm up and running now, no crashes [knock on wood]. It's going at about one iteration per second. Realface method, everything default iirc. Is that a reasonable rate or should it be going much faster? I'm also getting a different error message at the start than last time, so if the above speed is ab...

Re: Mask editor bug? Zoom in-out discrepancies

Solved. I had to regenerate the masks. Now there's no shift between regular and magnified views in the manual window. I actually tried to do that before, and it kept saying no masks were replaced. I thought that was odd but kept moving. When I tried it again today I realized "missing" is d...

Re: Mask editor bug? Zoom in-out discrepancies

PM'd you a screen recording, google drive link. Though it seems to be lingering in the outbox. Update: I notice that in some cases, magnifying the view changes the green square framing. (Not just rotating so it's upright, but the contents shifted.) Not sure why, but at least it makes sense why the m...

Mask editor bug? Zoom in-out discrepancies

I extracted with bisnet-fp masks. Open the manual tool to check. If the mask is off, I can fill it in (or erase). But in some cases when I zoom in or out, the mask shifts. Example, I click on magnify and erase some of the mask that picked up hair or background, hit magnify again to zoom back out, an...

Re: Is there a guide to the landmarks?

I'm also wondering if "variety of angles and lighting conditions" should actually exclude extreme lighting for training, like artsy low key shots where half the face is in darkness for example. Even if the target video has shots like that.

Re: Crashes on training

EDIT: nvm. I misread python "3.10" as 3.1

Gonna try installing latest tensorflow metal.

EDIT 2: I now realize tensorflow and tensorflow metal are 2 different things and I'm already on the latest or near latest tf metal.

Re: Is there a guide to the landmarks?

Thanks, interesting and good to know. One more general question: does the algorithm somehow take into account and use details in 4k or HD footage when swapping? I'm wondering how such relatively small size inputs can yield an algorithm that gives detailed results (like skin texture) with HD or 4k fo...

Crashes on training

I tried realface and dlight so far. Realface crashes within a minute. Dlight crashes in a few hours. I'm on a 2022 Mac Studio base model and the fans never kicked in so I don't think it's my machine being overwhelmed. Here's what terminal looked like. Seems there are some issues with my setup but I ...

Is there a guide to the landmarks?

As in exactly what part of the face they're supposed to mark? I can guess some or maybe most of them, but I suspect it'd help the model if we knew exactly what each point was supposed to mark when fixing alignments with the manual tool. Things can get murky with shadows, angles, eyes closed vs opene...

Should I remove blurry faces from extracts?

Out of couple thousand extractions from a variety of videos, there are a few dozen or so images where the target subject's face is blurry (out of focus or zoomed in or motion blurred) but faceswap obviously identified the face and added it to the alignments file. Should I delete these and "clea...

Re: [Guide] macOS Install Guide: Installer Method

There is some control over font size etc in Settings > GUI settings. If you can't read the items here, then you can also edit this in the file ~/faceswap/config/gui.ini There doesn't seem to be a way to change font color but I stumbled on a quirk: opening the settings window or switching to another...

Re: Faceswap hangs and wont download model?

I'm having this problem. I downloaded and unzipped manually, but there's no ".fs_cache" folder to put it in. And I can't create one because Mac won't let me name something with "." at the beginning. :?:

Re: [Guide] macOS Install Guide: Installer Method

Ok, this is all a bit mystifying, other macOS users have not reported this issue. If it is not generating the log file, then there are definitely issues! From the attached output, it appears to not find a location for where miniconda is installed, it then also fails to run some command. Most likely...

Re: [Guide] macOS Install Guide: Installer Method

UPDATE: I tried reinstalling, and attached a text file from Terminal. I no longer see the errors pasted below from the first installation process, but I still get the same error when trying to launch. Ok. for some reason your environment hasn't installed correctly. Could you provide the file faceswa...

Re: [Guide] macOS Install Guide: Installer Method

Hmmm, it's not launching correctly (or not finding Conda correctly, for some reason). Please try the following: conda activate faceswap cd faceswap python faceswap.py gui This is effectively what the launcher does, but will help us nail down the issue. Thanks. I get the same error as last time with...

Re: [Guide] macOS Install Guide: Installer Method

Hi, I'm having trouble launching the app after installation. The launcher flashes an empty window for a split second and that's it. I tried the command line launcher and got this: Last login: Wed Aug 23 20:01:28 on ttys000 /Users/joshua/faceswap/faceswap_gui_launcher.command ; exit; joshua@Joshuas-M...
