Previews missing during extraction

Extraction previews don't seem to be working, shown on two machines so far. I don't see any errors in the log, just previews aren't showing up despite having Enable preview checkbox checked, status shows "Waiting for preview..."

Previews during conversion seem to be fine.

Re: Alignment files Bug

Haha I don't believe it, it worked. Here I was thinking underscores are the perfect way to visualize spaces without violating popular naming practices, and it turned out to be my downfall

Good job getting that sorted out quickly, hopefully the end of that problem for so many people.

Re: Alignment files Bug

I will check it too later. What OS and what Graphiccard do you have? I run conversions and extractions on 64-bit Windows 10 machines, they range in capabilities from GTX 1050Ti to 4060 Ti, but all exhibit the same behavior. For example, try these files with a simple Preview and you'll see this: Loa...

Re: Alignment files Bug

Here's one I had in the archives, it's from 2022 and loads just fine into the Manual tool. You can save the alignments after making changes to them, and it will still exhibit all the problems we're describing.

Re: Alignment files Bug

The issue hasn't been resolved, the only way right now for me to do conversions is with a freshly extracted file (detailed verbosely earlier) from the very latest updated faceswap.. The problem is compounded by the fact that as soon as convert sees an old alignments file, it updates it to v2.4 so it...

Re: Alignment files Bug

I think you're right, those glitches may have been byproducts of some version mismatching. Doing a fresh run seems to work just fine now, thanks for looking into it.

Re: Alignment files Bug

I want to say that everything's great now but the Remove-Faces function is now crashing and causing other issues. It unceremoniously tossed 6 frames into a _duplicates subfolder, which i've never seen before but that's not the big issue. It complained that -fr was deprecated and to use (-r, --faces_...

Re: Alignment files Bug

It happens when you run a conversion on an old (pre-2.4) alignments set. I just tried it now using the new codebase and an old (c. 2021) alignments file/vid pair. It updates the alignments file first, then runs the conversion, failing on every frame. Setting Faceswap backend to NVIDIA 04/21/2024 13:...

Re: Deprecated CLI Arguments

Yes once I corrected the underscore in the args it definitely started working properly again. As it's a script I'm using, I worry less about the length of arguments and more about the readability of them haha

Re: Alignment files Bug

I'm not sure what you mean by this? I haven' t obsoleted any args... at least not knowingly. I deprecated a load a little while back, but the deprecated args are stilll valid. I submitted a lengthy response with examples but my session expired and I'm not going to do it all again ... but here was t...

Deprecated CLI Arguments

Something's definitely gone wrong in the frame_name area of things. After spending a day getting scripts updated to use new arguments just to have the whole thing flop is a bit tedious right now lol, I think I have one workstation still using the old code thankfully, going to try to use that one in ...

Re: Browsing datasets with masks

Masks are stored in the alignments file. A copy of the information stored in the alignments file is saved to the PNG header when you generate your faceset... But it is just that. A copy. Thanks for your replies torzdf, I think I understand where I need to adjust my workflow now. I didn't realize th...

Masks in the png header are zlib compressed.

Thank you this is helpful, maybe I can extract the mask this way and make a quick and dirty faceset browser. I know you're extremely busy so it would be low on your priority list to ask for a new Browse panel

Re: Browsing datasets with masks

Thanks torzdf, that's what I tried but always get this when I select the faces folder: 04/10/2024 11:30:57 ERROR The input folder '\\blahblah\extracted512' contains extracted faces. 04/10/2024 11:30:57 ERROR The Manual Tool works with source frames or a video file, not extracted faces. Browsing datasets with masks

Hi guys, I'm using Bisenet-fp for all my swaps these days, and have a good idea of what I'm doing now but have one real problem with troubleshooting my datasets. How do we browse the extracted faces with masks intact (overlaid, like in the training session)? The older forum posts state that masks ar...
