Re: What is the size of the GPU needed to train the Villain model?

FYI

Windows, 32Gb
4 batch size with single GTX1070ti (8GB)
8 batch size with 2 x 1070ti's in SLI. (16GB)

Takes a long time !

Re: Way to notify training failure?

You could run Tight VNC service (remote access) on the training machine and the Ripple remote version on your smart phone,. That way you can monitor, restart, and even change parameters such as batch size remotely. Tight VNC/Ripple works best if you have a static IP, just in case of a IP reset cause...

Re: I have a conversion problem

You don't know what GPU he has. Spend a few grand such on a GPU such as a NVidia TItan RTX with many cores and huge memory and then maybe you can do it in a few days. I have 2 1070ti's in SLI and can, for example, run Dfaker at 128 batch size (90 EG/s) quite easily but it still takes about a hundred...

Re: training sets and inputs

FYI - I've tried all greyscale images as one of the faces for training, result was poor (color wise and sharpness wise) swapping on a color video at 250k iters, original model. B&W images were also of poor quality due to being extracted from a film from the 1930's.

Re: Default Batch Size for each trainer?

Batch size per training model depends on the amount of VRAM you have on your GPU(s). For example, 16GB and you can run original at the maximum 256, Dfaker at 128 and Realface at 24 and so on.
To optimise the batch size for your card(s), see:

Re: I have a conversion problem

With a 1050Ti (4Gb VRAM) and maximum batch size on training and the quality you want, you're better off going on holiday for a week or two leaving the training running!

Re: I have a conversion problem

42k Iters is low, more like up to 10 times that number needed. If you have a 1080Ti and using "orginal" Trainer you should be able to increase Batch size to about 180 or even 200 (when running no other graphics programe), which will speed things up quite a bit ! Read the instructions on optimising b...

Re: Time for us Brits to moan and do a political swap

Same trained model, different A face video. There are some "half face" anomolies but I haven't bothered editing these out or trying to adjust alignments as the reason behind the example was just to show that different "A face" videos can be swapped using the same A / B trained Model. The subject is ...

Time for us Brits to do a political swap

UK Primeministers real face, that of his unelected advisor - who drove Brexit.
Poor sources for the advisor meant a high, 500k, iterations. DFaker.

Re: detail question

I'm running 2 x 1070Ti's in SLI and depending on things like quality of the swap video, degree of face movement in the swap video, training images etc, getting resonable eye and mouth movement, never mind teeth or nose flare, takes me at least over double the time / inters you have. Just so you have...

If it keeps happening it could possibly point to an instability in your power supply or wattage of the PSU is not up to the task ?.

Re: Manually Fixing for Converting Stage

My two cents, after playing about for a few months, Start with your experiments with "face on" videos and then learn the limitations of what the alignment alogrithms can do. Really 90 degree side on's are unlikely to ever be properly aligned and not even possible to manually "click to align". Is it ...

Manual Alignments not working.

Has the manual alignments scripts been played with or stopped very recently ? I raed there was a mention of reworking or doing something with manual alignment. On a updated (yesterday) FS version the "manual" alignments button has a different placement in the GUI to a previous version and now attemp...

Re: Poor quality of the alignment file after Extract

Ive seen that sometimes the detector picks up false faces and aligns, so two or maybe more alignments can be on a frame. Especially of its a crowded video. So I normaly end up running manual alignment to get ride of these "ghosts". Time consuming but thats the way it is, A coffee machine is a great ...

Alignments file relocation

Does the alignments file contain directory path information ?
Basically could you copy the alignments file, source file and faces directory to another computer with a different directory structure to conduct manual alignment and then copy back and it still work ?
