Performance Scale

So, I know nvidia is definitely the way to go, but just out of curiosity, how would you rate the performance difference between the manufacturers? I've read the hardware isn't the bottleneck, but the intermediary layer of software, which makes sense. All things being equal, on a scale of 1-10 (nvidi...

Re: odd Training error

that's what did it! each frame alignment must be modified and not just copied

Re: odd Training error

That makes a lot of sense. Didn't know the alignments had to be modified.

Re: odd Training error

i've quite literally done this several times throughout the day trying all different variables and nothing seems to change. is there something that i should look out for

Re: odd Training error

as i said earlier, i've done that, and i still get the errors i described. is Unet-DFL not compatible, or is there some kind of bug i'm not aware.

skivvy wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2020 1:23 am

Of course after doing this, i need to mask the faces. I use Unet-DFL.

odd Training error

Ok here's the deal. Recently i've gone through the process of extracting my frames/faces from a video that i'm going to use as my base to put a face on. Then after that's done, i go in and manually adjust the alignments in a few trouble areas. Those extracted faces are then trashed and i use the ext...

Update Notes

Sorry if it's somewhere already, but i was just curious if there's any release notes when there's an update. i know it's mostly under the hood stuff that i wouldn't necessarily notice/understand but i just thought it would be neat to see what changes are made.

Thanks!

Re: Batch size and mask performance

well i think i may have answered my own question. i reran an extraction with batch sizes of 1 and the results appear to be better. probably not worth the improvement unless you're REALLY a perfectionist

Batch size and mask performance

Does batch size have an affect on how well a masker works. If i have a batch size of 64 vs 1, can i expect a better output? or is it just not worth it.
Thanks!

Re: nvidia vs AMD

so if a model took 3 days on a 2080 we're probably looking at a week for an AMD VII? does that sound about right?

nvidia vs AMD

ok i already know the answer that nvidia is probably the clear winner overall, however, when talking specifics. What would the approximate (we're talking ballpark here because of all the variables) difference in performance be if you had a guess a percentage. If you pegged a 2080 against a Radeon VI...

Re: Has deepfaking for long periods caused anyone long-term hardware issues?

FWIW I overclocked the bejesus out of my 2060 6GB and have had zero problems HOWEVER the second i started overclocking the memory, THAT's when weird corruptions on the models occurred. Also i have my fan pegged at 100% and in an air conditioned room at around 72F or 22C. I've had i crunching away fo...

Re: Error when masking with Unet post extraction

I've only got a 2060 non super so i'm guessing i need to upgrade i order to be able to do this. 6gb seems to be just not enough. thanks for the info though! too bad i can't get much lower than 1.

Error when masking with Unet post extraction

If i try to mask my unmasked extractions after the fact and use the Unet-DFL masker I'm met with the below error. The other masks seem to work just fine. The interesting part is if i use this mask when i extract, all works as intended but it defaults to single process. Any ideas? 2020-01-19 20:00:16...

Free GTX 970

So i've got a buddy of mine who's going to give me a GTX970.

Currently i've got an RTX 2060 6gb in my system. Is it worth throwing the GTX 970 in as well? Didn't know if the memory size difference would mess with things or if it's just not worth it.

Thanks!
