Re: Couldnt get ptxas version string

Ok, there appears to be an issue with your alignments file (no faces have been stored)

Firstly load up the manual tool with that video/alignments file combination and see if you can identify the issue..

If you cannot, then I would need a copy of the video + alignments file to investigate further.

Re: Hardware best practices

I have not linked 2 GPUs for training with NVLink (you'd need NVLink not SLI). However, without NVLink 2 GPUs would just let you run bigger batch sizes, they would not allow you to load larger model.s as a copy of the model needs to be loaded onto each GPU. You'd need to research NVLinking 2 GPUs to...

Re: can my PC handel the Villain model

Unfortunately not, No. You'd need at least 8GB VRAM for that model.

With a 3GB card you will be very restricted to the lightweight model and, possibly, the Original model.

Re: Hardware best practices

The trouble with hardware recommendations since the 20xx series has been that you always have to add "if you can get it for a good price" to the end of ANY recommendation. Will a 4060 TI with 16gb of vram work? Definitely. Will it beat a $100 1080? Yes. Is it worthwhile to buy it for Face...

Re: Couldnt get ptxas version string

Ok, that isn't the error (although I appreciate why you would think it may be). That message is standard on Windows installations. I would suspect there is an issue with your video file which is causing the process to hang. Try running convert with a random video/images to see if that also hangs. If...

Actually, are you even on the forum for the right software? From the tiny bit of information I can glean from your messages, I suspect not. > should i cancel account and try somewhere else. Re: Stuck on loading screen

I asked before, and I will ask again. You need to give me considerably more detail for me to be able to help you in any way.

Specifically:

  • your setup (OS, GPU etc)
  • The exact steps you take to hit your issue.
  • How the issue manifests itself.

Re: Couldnt get ptxas version string

Ignore it. It's not an error, it is a warning, and it is not important.

Re: Hardware best practices

People's views will vary on this, but I would always favour VRAM over Cuda Cores. Whilst more Cuda Cores will train faster, more VRAM will mean being able to train larger models (at a time cost, obviously). Personally, I would go with the GPU that gives me the most VRAM for my buck.

Ok, this looks like a bug in the numexpr library we use. Please could you try the following, and let me know if it fixes your issue. If so, I will release a fix to skip this version of numexpr Launch an Anaconda Prompt: Start > Anaconda Prompt Then issue the following commands: conda activate facesw...

Re: During conversion, "No alignment found for xxxxx.png, skipping" only on some video files

Nothing has changed recently here, and this hasn't been reported elsewhere. The obvious question is 'are you sure you are using the correct alignments file?'.

Unfortunately, without being able to recreate the issue, there is not a lot more I can suggest.

Re: Models in different GPU/CPU

This is an "Out of Memory" error. If it worked before and doesn't now, then most likely something is taking precious VRAM away from your GPU (Google Chrome can be bad for this, also games etc.)

You should try following the steps listed in the error message output.

Re: Size of faces in B-side video source

<- This means enlarging B's face, right? You don't need to enlarge it, no. But you are correct that the face will be enlarged (or shrunk) to the correct size to fit in the final frame. The size of the model output is uniform (be that 128px, 256px, 512px etc.) The size of any face in a frame could b...

I'm not sure I fully understand your problem. The first thing I would suggest, though, is following these steps as it solves 90% of issues: https://forum.faceswap.dev/app.php/faqpage#f1r1 If this doesn't fix this issue, then please can you provide me with more detail about your setup (OS, GPU etc) a...

Unfortunately (or fortunately?) I have never seen this issue before.

I would only be able to investigate with a copy of the video and alignments file. If this is something you can share, you are welcome to DM me with a link.

Re: Size of faces in B-side video source

If I understand correctly, I think you are talking about applying a 256px face on high resolution close-ups? You are correct that close ups like these won't work as well as the face needs to be enlarged to fit into the frame. However, it is hard to say how much this will matter to you, and how bad i...

Re: What is "libpng error: Read Error"?

Don't worry about it (the short answer) The slightly longer answer: I'm not 100% sure where this comes from, but I think it comes from the preview image in the GUI. Most likely when the process tries to read a preview image when it hasn't yet been fully saved. The message itself is not something I c...

Re: GPU don't work when program aren't started in anaconda

The reason is that the Conda environment needs to be activated. Just referencing the correct python library is not enough. When the Conda environment is activated, some other actions are also executed, which means that Faceswap can find the Cuda/cuDNN libraries stored within the environment. If you ...

Re: When using the preset stojo file in Phaze-A, the error is reported

I believe it works if you use Mixed Precision. The issue comes when switching from mixed precision to full precision. When you start a new model at full precision, Mixed Precision is activated (as we need to store which layers are compatible with Mixed Precision and this is the only way to do it). W...
