Re: Why you shouldn't Faceswap VR videos
With my 5400x2700 video, I managed to get cropping the video in half working, non batch form, using ffmpeg -i in.mp4 -filter:v "crop=2700:2700:0" -c:a copy outvideo2.mp4 for the left side video and fffmpeg -i in.mp4 -filter:v "crop=2700:2700:2700" -c:a copy outvideo.mp4 for the r...

Re: Why you shouldn't Faceswap VR videos
I'm definitely going to have to try my hand at dewarping again, hopefully that will erase the majority of problems I put into step 4 of my post; relating to warped faces. I'd also like to try your method of cropping the video into two using effmpeg and presumably using effmpeg to put it back togethe...

Re: Why you shouldn't Faceswap VR videos
Hey I really appreciate the comment! I remember you telling me about the de-warping technique in old post of mine, and I tried it out and it work pretty decently. But in the process of doing so, all that pixel data that was supposed to be wide and stretched out was destroyed when it was squished int...

Challenges faceswapping VR videos
In this post I will explain why deepfaking VR videos is a lot of effort and most likely not worth your time, and in the process of doing that, I will kind of explain how to deepfake VR videos unintentionally. Also all the reasons why you shouldn't are based off the premise you don't have a super com...

Creating a decent faceswap only using 4 images of B data
Surly that title has to be clickbait right? I mean, You need to have 1000's of images of your B data all different angles and facial movements for the model to be able to learn how to smoothly move a face, right? Well. Judge for yourself. Here are the 4 images I used, . https://i.imgur.com/Uu2TfQg_d...

Re: Hardware best practices
Will say Nvidia whatever you do. 30x0 series isn't working quite yet. Nvidia drivers and some other software are not updated to support FS(among other things), but may in a couple months. Wow, did not know this. My friend was planning on updating his computer and was thinking about getting a rtx 30...

Re: My girl friend is a youtuber with 11 million subs
Thanks man. For my next project I post on here, I'll definitely put just as much effort into the write up. And also I'm going to explore the other side of the dilemma I presented. On this swap, I went with a lower quality model with double the eg/s over higher quality model with half the eg/s. For t...

My girl friend is a youtuber with 11 million subs
So I decided to faceswap my female friend onto a popular youtuber with over 11 million subs (Who I won't name) My female friend was curious about deepfakes and volunteered to be in this swap. I'll post a bunch of info about the swap after the video just in case you were curious. If the video doesn't...

Re: trained a lot of models and images i got some practice suggestion
Those are some pretty good observations that I've noticed myself and I've been playing around with faceswap for over a year. I can add on to what you are saying with some of my own observations. Assuming your data on both ends are videos and there moderately high quality like 720p or above, open the...

Would a B&W data set (on both sides) train faster than color?
If both side A and B were both black and white, would it result in faster training of the model compared to both data sets being color? My reasoning behind asking the question is every time it tries to guess a slightly better version of the picture, one of the things it's doing is guessing the perfe...

Any chance we can get a changelog for updates?
I was thinking like something in the help tab on the program, in the text box below after an update, or even underneath the download link on the website. I know that you guys update frequently, and with out a doubt I'm sure you make massive changes that you could write an entire essay about that a u...

Thank you, this explains everything perfectly, and I even understand you reasoning for doing it. Unfortunately I'm only able to mark one of your comments as the answer, but thank you to both of you.

Hey guys, torzdf and bryanlyon. Thanks for both being so great and willing to help everyone out. You two really what makes faceswap work. I just want absolute, crystal clear, 1000%, beyond any doubt, understanding on what your saying. . . So you are saying that his update to date program that is ext...

Re: Extracting zoomed out frames? Faces too small per frame
I'm don't think either of you understand the issue. Perhaps I didn't write it clearly. The issue is that his newer version is the one messed up one and giving faces that are way too zoomed out, while my older version is giving the correct appropriate sized frames. And as far as I can tell, every sin...

Extracting zoomed out frames? Faces too small per frame
So I was trying to teach my buddy faceswap when he ran into this problem where when he extracted faces they came out too small/the frames were too zoomed out. Here's a couple pics as examples. https://i.imgur.com/8qFCYRw.png https://i.imgur.com/FKK3njx.png So I tried extracting the video and I got f...

With the ability to restore a model from backup, is there any real negative to your model corrupting?
If I have an extremely fragile model that has a tendency to crash, say because I used 1% extra ram more than I should have used because I opened chrome, but Im able to keep restoring it, is there any long term downsides?

Re: Too Many B Faces? 9000 pcs 512size
Unless your converting 2k or beyond video, I think you might find that you probably don't need 256x256 model. I was in a similar place wondering what's the smallest resolution I can get away with. Obviously I want the highest resolution possible so that there can be potentially the highest detail po...

Super Simple Question about which RAM is best for anyone who has built a PC
I can't remember the exact frequency of my RAM so they will just be a close approximation for this question. . . My old PC was running 16gb RAM with each stick being about 2600mhz. I recently upgraded to 16gb RAM at 3200mhz. However my motherboard has extra slots on it, and I could technically put a...
