Re: The input folder contains extracted faces. Please update your input

The problem is that I need to be able to adjust the alignments and add masks, but I can't without the manual tool.

The input folder contains extracted faces. Please update your input

I'm mixing a variety of photos and extracted videos into one large set of images for my "source" face. I don't want to (and can't at this point) work with each source individually and want to treat the combined extracted faces folder as a new source for the purposes of building alignments,...

Re: Alighment is slightly off on almost every frame

SOLVED IT

I realized the video had a bunch of scenes I didn't actually care about so I clipped out parts in Adobe Premiere and re-encoded it and it seems to have captured MOST faces (has some trouble with motion blur even if light) and the alignments are delightfully free of jitter.

Doh. I read the followup comment and I guess that's not the answer :)

Re: Alighment is slightly off on almost every frame

I'm just curious. Do you have the "Re-Align" option ticked off? If so, how many re-feeds are you giving it? I've noticed that giving Re-Align more "passes" can actually cause this to happen for me. I use to give it the max passes (10) but lowered it because it was doing this to ...

Re: Alighment is slightly off on almost every frame

Fair enough. I already reencoded this video once, but maybe I would get better results by doing so again with different settings. Either way, I'll see if I can tinker with it. I doesn't seem to be a previous frame issue this time as the faces are correct other than placement and shift between frames...

Alighment is slightly off on almost every frame

When I click through the manual tool, the face is detected fine and is precise shape-wise, but is shifted slightly in almost quite a lot of places that doesn't make sense. Face is pointing straight at the camera, clear details, etc. The detection is great really, just shifted slightly for some reaso...

Re: Does the manual tool have any keyboard controls? Shift-selection? Something to make mass-modification easier?

Sadly not. It's something I do want to add though, but (as I always say) there are many, many things on my todo list. As with all areas of the code, I would welcome Pull Requests in this area. In the meantime, for bulk actions, it is very much easier to do this with your OS's file explorer than in ...

Re: Does the manual tool have any keyboard controls? Shift-selection? Something to make mass-modification easier?

I see. So extract all the faces and delete ones that aren't any good? The only problem is that what I'm trying to delete are not faces, but alignments where the face is at far too strong an angle. I suppose I could look for the thumbs where I suspect the alignment won't be any good, delete those, th...

Does the manual tool have any keyboard controls? Shift-selection? Something to make mass-modification easier?

The tool is amazing for sure, but when dealing with 10,000 frames, I wish I could just use keys to handle a string of bad faces. Right key, delete, right key delete. Or even SHIFT or CTRL click to select the faces in view I definitely don't want then Delete. Right now I end up doing a lot of mouse m...

Is it possible to train on two faces in a video? Can your replace them both?

If they were the same face (twins), would that make a difference? Bottom line, is it possible to train on two faces either separately or at once to convert multiple faces in one go?

Re: Everything says to switch to "No Warp" eventually, but when I to, it looks clearly like the source face again.

Just my 2 cents. Firstly this: someone in a different thread explained that it's using BOTH Warp to Landmarks and NO Warp that's correct is nonsense. Ignore it. (No warp means no warp. Doesn't matter if warp to landmarks is selected or not, it won't be used). Some people have said that disabling wa...

I may have answered my own question. The training thumb looks wonky, but I tried doing an actual conversion and it's... impressive. I saved the model folders before doing no warp and might compare the two, but it looks like I just need to trust the magic.

Re: Everything says to switch to "No Warp" eventually, but when I to, it looks clearly like the source face again.

I just tested with a second video (same source face). Same result. As soon as I select "no warp", the result after 8 hours is that it looks like some kind of hybrid of the two faces instead of clearly the replacement face which is what it looked like before I clicked no warp. Near as I can...

Everything says to switch to "No Warp" eventually, but when I to, it looks clearly like the source face again.

So I ran training A face to B face (A to replace, B is the replacement). Using "warp to landmarks", it looks pretty solid after not too long, but the guides and tooltips all say that you should use "no warp" for final details. So I did that (and someone in a different thread expl...

Re: When using the manual tool to adjust alignments, the alignment changes drastically when I select a frame

Interesting. I did notice the file didn't have a thumbnail like I expected. I'll try doing a quick re-encode and see if that makes a difference. Thanks!

When using the manual tool to adjust alignments, the alignment changes drastically when I select a frame

I'm having all kinds of trouble with this video. First I try to apply alignments to every frame (with the goal of fixing everything for conversion FIRST, then extracting by 10's or more for training afterward). It doesn't actually apply to every frame even with a clear run of the same face (very ann...

Re: Do I really have to adjust every frame manually for conversion?

Fair enough. I find that I can get through it quicker by toggling the face alignments view in the manual tool where I can see the overlay on all the frames. It makes it easier to pick out the bad patches in a hurry. At least I know to focus on the bad areas and hopefully that will help :D Great tool...

Do I really have to adjust every frame manually for conversion?

As I understand, I do an extraction simply to load up the alignments file with all the frames I skipped during training. Then I use the manual tool to fix alignments and do masks just like with training, but there are THOUSANDS of frames. If that's what has to be done, so be it, but I really don't w...
