Future support of current Models?

Post by ugramund »

Mrtorzdf, as your the main developer of the Faceswap project, I would like to ask you that in the future, say after 2-3 years when many more development would have taken place in the GPU hardware, AI programming & perhaps with newer Models for face swapping, will the current models in their present extension form X.h5 & X_state.json will be supported in the future versions of Faceswap.

I am asking this question because I think there may be some people like me who are training & swapping on only one type of model so as to make it perfect.

So is there a possibility that in the future versions of Faceswap we would not be able to use the current models in their present form of X.h5 & X_state.json .

In love with the the RealFace model.

I try to maintain backwards compatibility as much as possible. I don't always succeed, but as the process is so time-consuming I try to make it that older work will still work.

My word is final
