Synthetic Faceset for Deepfakes

Post by smile »

Hello,

I do not want to use "real" faces for deepfakes but synthetic ones. Therefore, I am currently investigating the possibilities of creating a synthetic faceset that can be used for deepfakes. Are there any tools or research on this topic?

I would appreciate any help :)

Thanks!

No tools or research that I'm aware of, however I can confirm from experience this works fine. Just follow a similar process to how you would with real faces.

One thing to be aware of is that synthetic data, by its nature, contains less variety than real data. The model may not like this and can NaN easier, but your mileage may vary.

Thanks for your reply!
How did you generate the synthetic faceset in the first place?

Unfortunately, for contractual reasons, I am unable to say.
