Older Apple Mac and Bootcamp

Post by bobmane »

Can I run Faceswap on Older Apple Mac and Bootcamp - successfully and powerfully -without hardware bugs inherent to the system?

Specs:
Mac Pro Late 2012
2x 3.46 6-Cole Intel Xeon
128GB DDR3 Memory
2TB SSD Startup Disk
(3) 1TB NVME SSD Internal Drives 2700 MB/s Write Speed
2TB HDD “Time Machine” Drive
OS High Sierra - Bootcamp Windows
NVIDIA GTX Titan 12GB
USB 3.1 with USB-3 and USB-C Ports
BlackMagic DeckLink Mini Monitor with SDI and HDMI Outputs

Please note I could add other video card as well (if advised and if it helps)

What about on Garbage Can Mac?

"Possibly" is the best I can offer.

Intel/Nvidia Macs haven't been directly supported for a while now, although the libs remain in Faceswap meaning that they should still work. It's not been used/tested for a while though.

My word is final

Actually I can not compare these to other systems since I have just started to faceswap. I am doing it on an M1 Mac and can compare it to a 2013 i7 MBA. I can tell that the M1 can do around 110 iterations in 5 minutes while the MBA needs around 1h for that. After 24h on M1 you'll get around 18k Iterations.
Since you can stop and continue your model, you don't have to use uber Hardware if you have the time...
