Is ASUS Radeon R7 enough?

Post by komputerek »

Hello everyone! :)

I'm new to Faceswap.

I have a (not) simple question for you guys: is my PC enough to run Faceswap?

GPU: Asus Radeon R7 370 4GB GDDR5 (256 bit) HDMI, 2x DVI, DP (STRIX-R7370-DC2-4GD5-GAMING) - supports DirectX 12, OpenCL 2.0, OpenGL 4.4
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
RAM: GoodRam IRDM 2x8GB 3000MHz CL16
Motherboard: ASUS PRIME B450M-A

You should be able to train on that card (I have trained on an AMD R9 290). AMD will train slower, and you won't be able to run the larger models. Original/dfaker should be fine though.

My word is final

Definitely. My setup is a little worse than yours, I'm using a ryzen 5 2400, 2x8gb RAM, and an rx580.
Like torzdf said, I usually stick to original trainer.
A pretty rough estimate for me is: A project with 3000 great source images and 1000 good "to-be-replaced" images, and a 64 batch size seems to take me about 100-120 hours to get results that I'm really satisfied with.
