What does "high quality files mean" for extraction? The faq does not specify this
It's kind of a subjective thing, but an overly compressed jpeg image is not a "high quality image".
The general mantra applies here: you put junk in, you'll get junk out.
If I use a HD youtube-video and convert it to MP4 and the quality "looks good" can this file be used?
Youtube videos aren't great, to be honest, as the compress the living hell out of them, so they tend to have a fairly low bitrate.
Blu-ray/HD rips tend to be better, but youtube videos will work at a pinch. No need to re-encode to mp4. Unless you are just muxing to a new container, you will just be reducing the quality further.
OK. Is it better when the face in the video is large and covers a large part of the screen like a close-up?
