Trying to update - Couldn't install opencv-python>=4.9.0.0 with pip.

Post by HawaiianPizza »

Dear All,

Firstly Merry Christmas and have a happy new year.

today I tried to get back into faceswapping and went to update my software. I came across this error during upgrading however:

Couldn't install opencv-python>=4.9.0.0 with pip. Please install this package manually

I am not sure what to do, it's been a long time since I installed this software, about two years ago and installation instructions don't cover upgrades. I noticed in my windows 10 add.remove software a standalone software installed, I wondered if I need to update that? IT is called Miniconda3 py39_4.12.0 (python 3.9.12 64-bit).

When the faceswap software finished updated it said to restart it, I closed the program down and reopened but nothing happened. Before going any further thought it was best to post here.

I've tried searching this forum but I can't see a solution despite seeing others had this error message too.

I have the following hardware:
Device name DESKTOP-6DVG0KE
Processor AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor 4.00 GHz
Installed RAM 10.0 GB
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Windows 10

Nvidia GTX 980TI with their drivers installed.

TIA
