landmarks for profile image

Post by jriker1 »

Let's take the below thread as a visual example as I can't reply there being locked:

viewtopic.php?t=1565

So shows a front and two side views and the base question wasn't fully answered. If you have a side view, what do you do with the remaining pieces of the eye or eyebrow that are hidden when placing landmarks. What do you do with those pieces that are out of view? Where do you put them?

They go flush with the "horizon" of the face iirc. Sometimes in extreme profiles they will be shown "through" the face, but generally those landmarks will be lined up on the edge of the visible face.

Thanks, Shoot. This forum needs a way to paste in images copied into memory. Putting them on some other website would be a pain. So is the thought if you are looking at the side view, and the left eye is visible and has it's points identified in green, you would put the right eye "circle" of points in front of it just outside of the face?

One other item in addition to the above question, what if a face is transitioning onto the screen from say above or below. Probably more around the destination where all frames matter. So only part of the face is visible as the camera pans? How would you landmark this?

The landmarks for "off-frame" are placed where the net "thinks" they should be, so they will be positioned off-frame
