can my PC handel the Villain model

Hey everyone,

first of all i have to say that i am new to all of this, so any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

so i wanna train a model that could come up with impressive results and based on what i read in the guides. it seems like Villain could be a good option.

here are my PC specifications:

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700K CPU @ 3.70GHz 3.70 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB
GPU GTX 1060 3GB

so based on this, can i train a Villain model, or which model suits this specifications the best ?

Unfortunately not, No. You'd need at least 8GB VRAM for that model.

With a 3GB card you will be very restricted to the lightweight model and, possibly, the Original model.

can i somehow use the System's RAM additionally ? is it generally a good idea to do so ?, and if so which model do you recommend using in this case. as i tried the Original model and it seems to work great on my pc.

Unfortunately, you cannot utilise system RAM for the GPU, no.

If you can get Dfaker running on your GPU, then that is likely to be the best model you can use.

how about a second GPU i have a AMD Radeon HD7800, can i utilize that additionally ?

Unfortunately not, no. You can't really combine GPUs in this way, and you definitely can't combine Nvidia and AMD GPUs.
