I have epyc servers 7551 and I was planning to buy a GTX 1070 2X for the training can anyone tell me if it's good enough it's in my budget.

I don't want to buy an RTX 2070 cuz really costy and so if we don't talk about all the good things that there are in the RTX 2070 is the 1070 good enough to work for faceswap thank you?

Yes, 1070s are fine, but if you can swing 1x 2070 instead of the 2x 1070s I think the speed will be better.

I run 2x 1070's - Ti versions with more CUDA cores fine.

so gtx 1070s ti is all good?

I would get the 2070 for a couple reasons.
Per card they are faster.
FS support for mixed precision in the new RTX core architecture , even faster.

they are all capable of the same quality work, the 2070s will be considerably faster.

FYI Your CPU , while very nice, will make no real difference.

This isn't FS, but it's similar.

See how in FP32, the 2x 1070s are faster than one 2070 (241 images/sec vs 191). HOWEVER, in FP16 (mixed precision) the 2070 is faster (338 images/sec). Training can do mixed precision without issue (and I haven't heard any complaints at all about it's use).

It's not always cut and dry and not everything will use mixed precision, but FaceSwap does benefit from it.
