HP Z840 a good system to start traning with?

My company is currently "disposing" or some old workstations, the IT manager was walking around and asked if anyone wanted one before the recycles picked them them up. I wanted two but they only allowed me one 
The specs are:
HP Z840, dual E5-2620v3 2.4GHz
Nvidia P6000, 24GB VRAM
16GB system RAM
No storage, but I as thinking a 512GB SSD for Win10 boot and a 1TB HHD for holding FS data.
Am I good to go or is there anything I should upgrade or change?
