I tried batch editing the extracted faces (adjust exposure to make face much clearer) and i think it deleted the metadata.
Cannot train because of this.
my question is
a. is this possible?
b. if it is possible, what app do i need to use so that it will not delete the metadata

You should edit the video or images before extract, NOT the extracted faces.

Also, try the search feature. Potential solution already posted
