Is this overkill or a decent PC for deepfaking?

Post by BananaJam »

I am looking at a PC build, I get the the more power I have, the better, faster results I will get.
I don't intend on doing a lot of gaming, but would like to have something fairly decent, and be able to try my hand at using faceswap and/or other df software, but not sure if it is something I will be doing on a regular basis (unless I figure out how to monetise it :D ) - but maybe semi regularly.

The build I am looking at is a fairly good price for Europe, but if I could bring the price down that would be great, or possibly a better option around the same price - €850

Case - AeroCool Cylon.
[power supply] 600 Watt Super Silent Netzteil with 120mm..
[mainboard] MSI B450M-A Pro Max
[CPU] AMD Ryzen 5 5500, 6x 3.60GHz
[RAM - memory] 16 GB DDR4 High Speed
[graphic card] NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060- 12GB - Zotac Gaming Twin...
[hard disc 1] 500 GB M.2 SSD Kingston NV1

I can add storage myself, I have a couple of larger drives here.

Thanks for any information

Others maybe able to chip in with specifics, but I think that setup would be fine for dabbling with AI.

My word is final
