Question about Masks when training.

Post by I R NOOB »

I'm a little confused at the moment, I have generated masks using Bisenet-fp, no problems there. I have selected Bisenet-fp face in the settings under Train; Global; Loss; Mask.
Now when I go to train, I have noticed that the mask in the preview is that of the Component mask type not the Bisenet mask.

My question is: Is this just a visual thing were is shows one mask but it is using the one I have selected or is the mask being used not the one I have selected.

It is not a visual thing, no. The mask you see in preview is the mask you use in training. I suspect that you changed the mask on an existing model... Mask is locked to the model when you start training, you cannot change the mask for a pre-existing model (because changing the mask effectively changes what the model is learning). Try starting out with a new model to see if your issue persists.

My word is final

That was it.
I had searched through the forums before posting the question but had no luck.
Thankfully I was only 10 hours in so no major loss.
