New to Faceswap – Looking for Tips and Advice on Getting Started

Post by walewarranty »

Hello everyone,

I’m new to the Faceswap community and excited to start experimenting with this amazing tool! I’ve heard great things about the platform, but I’m still a bit unsure about the best way to get started. I’ve installed Faceswap and have done some basic reading, but I would love to get some advice from experienced users on a few things:

What’s the best way to choose source and target images for the best results?
How do I set up the training process efficiently without overloading my system? I’m working with a mid-range GPU, so I want to make sure I optimize settings for smoother performance.
Any recommended resources (tutorials, videos, or guides) that helped you get started with Faceswap?
I’m really looking forward to diving deeper into this and learning more from the community. Thanks in advance for any tips or advice!

High bitrate videos are the best source for training data. Avoid HDR footage

There isn't really much you can do here. Faceswap will take the processes it needs. Sadly, training AI is resource intensive. That's just the way it is.

There are plenty of guides linked in the various channels in this forum to get you started.

My word is final
