Let's suppose we want to see an old BW movie star swapped onto a modern action movie hero.
Would it work ? Is color an inheritable feature ? What about the opposite ?

Also this has been discussed in the Discord if you want to come over there and read the history there.
Basically though, you're unlikely to get the results you want right away. It takes some work and manual help. You might be better off first colorizing with a B&W colorizing AI then swapping that.
I think I see your point: It could be difficult for the NN to understand that the white of the eyes is not as pink as the skin tone... and that the eyes are not just a dark shade of red/brown.
...probably I'll have to colorize (maybe not so accurately) but I'll have to do something anyway.
